CYPRESS, CA – (December 14, 2004) – Christie, a leading provider of visual solutions for business, entertainment and industry, has introduced two new 3-chip DLP™ projectors – the Christie DS+4K and Christie DS+8K – delivering 5,000 ANSI lumens and 8,000 ANSI lumens, respectively. Both projectors feature true SXGA+ (1400x1050) resolution, contrast ratio of 1500-2000:1 and Xenon illumination. Darkchip2™ DMD technology, 10-bit image processing, and high quality lenses guarantee consistently crisp images, photo-realistic color and exceptional video. These compact projectors are ideal for boardrooms, training rooms, conference rooms, tradeshows, rentals and break-out sessions.
The Christie DS+4K and Christie DS+8K projectors also provide advanced features such as auto set-up, auto power-up and on-screen help. The well-received and dependable CERMAX® Xenon lamp module (typical 1,000 hours lamplife) in conjunction with the Christie Light Output Control (LiteLOC™) extends bulb life and maximizes cost-of-ownership. Xenon lamps provide a superior color spectrum that more closely replicates natural light, which is particularly important in high performance displays.
The Christie DS+4K and Christie DS+8K also feature integrated, on-board ChristieNET™ network connectivity which provides monitoring and control of projectors and devices over any TCP-IP network from anywhere in the world.
"Whether it’s a conference room, training room, tradeshow or break-out session, the new Christie DS+4K and DS+8K projectors bring amazing punch to your presentations," notes Gary Fuller, director of sales and global product manager for Rental/Staging, Christie. "They are compact, easy to use and competitively priced, and are backed by the best warranties in the industry as well as Christie’s renowned customer service and support."
