Video Overview

Christie’s SXGA+ and HD DLP projectors deliver 2000:1 full field contrast ratio, the highest for 3-chip DLP projection. The ratio represents high light output divided by low light output. A bigger ratio means more control over light in the display, which can be used to counter ambient light.

Christie’s 3-chip DLP models are also fitted with an electro-mechanical iris that can boost contrast still further, another 25% gradation of color can be achieved by the iris control of light output – a contrast ratio of up to 2000:1 full field.
