As seen in the Rental Staging Chassis technology movie, Christie has been designing event projectors for over ten years – incorporating features with both functional and commercial benefits.
The most consumable part of the projector is the lamp bulb. Manufacturers have designed lamp modules so users can replace a lamp bulb themselves and the term “replacement lamp” is now used to refer to the lamp module.
The replacement lamp comprises of a lamp bulb, reflector, anode & cathode connector and lamp housing. It is unlikely that any of these parts, other than the bulb, will need replacing. Yet combined, a replacement lamp may cost up to four times the cost of a lamp bulb.
With Christie’s new Bulb Alignment Tool for Roadster projectors, professional AV technicians can field replace bulbs rather than the entire module - a considerable savings on a single lamp, and for those companies who hold large stocks of lamp modules, the chance to release a lot of capital.
