Important notes on Christie's Digital Cinema Configurator:
- 2D lamp selection is based on achieving a nominal screen luminance of 11 fL (min DCI spec), and is partially dependent on the screen gain value entered by the user. 3D lamp selection is based on achieving a nominal screen luminance of 4.5 fL.
- 3D projection may require more than 1 projector or other special circumstances. This is due to the light output loss through the effects of polarization filters, 3D glasses and other 3D related optical equipment. We recommend you contact your Christie sales representative for further guidance on system specifics if you are installing a 3D capable system.
- All lamp selection is based on lamps operating to 85% of their initial brightness at the end of their useful life.
- Cost of ownership calculations are based on indicated average energy cost, lamp’s wattage and average life expectancy, number of lamps required, an annual projector usage of 3650 hours (2 hours per show x 5 shows per day x 365 days a year) and list price of replacement lamps.
- Although this configuration utility is provided to assist customers to attempt to determine the best solution for their individual needs, it does not guarantee digital cinema system performance or best application for any particular need. It is recommended that customers seek assistance from Christie if necessary.
