Display technology

Featuring high-quality DLP® technology, the Christie Mirage Series is extremely reliable, deliver high brightness and unsurpassed brightness uniformity, color and control capabilities. This proven digital technology is low maintenance with more than 65,000 hours Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF).

Xenon / dual-lamp PviP illumination/LED illumination

Coupling the benefits of xenon illumination – for the most natural color accuracy and stability - with the next level of technology, performance and flexibility,the 11-model Mirage J Series represents the evolution of our high-performance stereoscopic projection platform. Brightness levels for the Christie Mirage J Series range from 6,300 – 20,000 ANSI lumens.

The Christie Mirage M Series offers dual-lamp P-VIP® illumination in models ranging from 6,300 ANSI lumens to 10,000:1 (FOFO) for crisp, detailed images, excellent color and brightness uniformity, control capability and low maintenance. 

The Christie Mirage WU-L’s LED illumination provides precise, life-like, vibrant colors. With no color wheel artifacts and its reliable performance, you’re ensured years of virtually maintenance-free display. And, with no restrictions for positioning, you get greater installation flexibility. 

All Christie Mirage Series models are designed to be used in 3D applications for all types of immersive environments including CAVE™ systems and curved or flat screen power walls.

The advantages of CERMAX Xenon lamps

Christie CERMAX® Xenon lamps produce the highest level of brightness and color accuracy and are the best choice for illuminating very large screens or high ambient light environments. These lamps reach full brightness faster than other lamp technologies and emit a fairly flat spectrum with relatively equal intensities at all wavelengths of the visible range. This flat spectrum approximates the neutral white color of natural daylight and results in relatively little color shift over time.

Advantages of the dual-lamp, P-VIP Osram system

The dual-lamp P-VIP Osram system is efficient and flexible. Features of this system include:

  • 200W or 350W dual-lamp models.
  • The 350W model has a maximum brightness of 10,500 ANSI lumens (11,500 center lumens), yet only draws 1320 watts.
  • The 200W model has a maximum brightness of 6,300 ANSI lumens (6,950 center lumens), yet only draws 870 watts.
  • Both models operate on 120V for full brightness.
  • Stand-by power consumption, also called phantom power draw, is less than 20 watts.
  • Lamps can be hot swapped while projector is powered on and in use.

A superior design for superior performance and operation

The Christie Mirage Series uses the same, proven 10-bit processing that we use in our 2K resolution products. High bandwidth supports Picture in Picture functionality with simultaneous multisource stereo and or monoviewing in either the foreground or background or in both windows.Built-in geometric warping and edge-blending capabilities and other unique, proprietary, purpose-built features, meet the demanding requirements of advanced visualization display.

Available as an optional feature for all Christie Mirage J Series models, the yellow notch filter is an optical color management device that replicates film-like color. The filter creates greater separation between the red, green and blue colors, resulting in a larger color gamut and better reproduction of skin tones, richer color depth and deeper saturation to produce more life-like screen displays.

Trusted for its high reliability, excellent color and brightness uniformity, high brightness and  low cost of maintenance, the Christie Mirage Series has become the most used line of 3D projectors in the world.
