All Christie projectors can be controlled and monitored through a hosted Web interface using a PC or laptop connected to the same network as the projectors. Christie is the only projector manufacturer to offer simultaneous network control of 3-chip DLP® projectors without requiring third party applications.
ChristieNET™ is a projector network protocol that enables network communication with any Christie 3-chip DLP® projector. Christie LCD and 1-chip DLP projectors do not communicate via the ChristieNET protocol. These projectors use their own respective protocol which is also accessed by typing in the specific IP address of the projector.
Every projector sold by Christie can be controlled and monitored through a network or RS232 protocol.
You access the Web interface through the IP address of the projector you wish to control. The Web interface and available control options vary by projector type – LCD, 1-chip and 3-chip DLP.
Christie PowerTools™ is a Christie software application for multiprojector control and monitoring of Christie 3-chip DLP projectors. The software must be installed and run on a PC attached to a network and the client projectors need to be on the same network as the PC.
In addition to offering a hosted HTML web interface, most Christie projectors also support SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol). SNMP:
- Allows you to remotely monitor a Christie projector and getstatus changes on various parameters.
- Requires custom software to interpret and process SNMP messages (.mib) that are generated by the respective projectors.
