VeinViewer is a non-invasive electronic visual aid device designed to project an image of superficial, subcutaneous vascular structures on the surface of the skin. Using near-infrared light, VeinViewer is able to detect hemoglobin to create a picture of veins up to 10mm deep and visualize hemoglobin escaping into surrounding tissue from an infiltrated or extravasated vessel.
VeinViewer is used in:
- Peripheral IV Access
- Visualization of valves and bifurcations
- Infiltration avoidance
- Extravasation avoidance
- PICC placement (if the vessel falls within the 10mm visualization depth)
- Blood draw procedures
- Blood donation procedures
- Sclerotherapy treatment
VeinViewer has been
clinically proven to improve the success of peripheral vascular access procedures. Learn more about the potential impact on patient coutcomes.
