Christie Demonstrates Projection Solutions and 3D Projection Mapping at Palme Vietnam 2011

PALME VIETNAM/HANOI, Vietnam – (November 2, 2011) – Meeting the market demand for the most advanced visual solutions and technology, Christie® and its partner Vistron are showcasing a variety of solutions at Palme Vietnam 2011 including the award-winning Christie Mirage HD10K-M 3-chip DLP® projector, Christie DHD670-E and Christie DHD800 1-chip DLP® projectors, and Christie® MicroTiles®.

Eighteen Christie MicroTiles are stacked on both sides of a 100-inch screen rear-projected by the Christie Mirage HD10K-M. The Christie Mirage HD10K-M comes with embedded edge-blending and color matching capabilities and is highly suited for large and curved screens.

Visitors to the Christie booth will also gain a first-hand preview of the Christie DHD670-E projector. Making its maiden appearance in Vietnam, the Christie DHD670-E provides superior performance, brightness and image definition.

“Vietnam and the surrounding Indo-China region proffer very good potential for Christie’s visual solutions and display systems. Christie is at Palme Vietnam to explore this market further and devise stronger sales strategies, and we are collaborating with Vietnamese partners to demonstrate 3D projection mapping using the latest in visual solutions technology. We expect our advanced technology at Palme Vietnam to be well received since it represents different niche product segments that will appeal to our customers in Vietnam,” said Lin Yu, vice president, Christie Asia Pacific.

“Since launching in Asia in 2010, Christie MicroTiles have made significant inroads in the digital signage market. Not only do Christie MicroTiles offer sharp and arresting images at very impressive levels of brightness and color reproduction, they are very flexible, easy to use, and can be stacked like building blocks to create a seamless display canvas of any shape and size,” said Jonathan Lim, general manager, Christie Singapore.

Drawing crowds at the exhibition center entrance is the 3D projection mapping set using a Christie Roadster HD18K projector. In collaboration with Sense Art Co. Ltd., the 3D mapping is a mock version of the upcoming projection on the Hanoi Opera House, celebrating Hanoi’s millennium.

“We have always believed Christie makes the most reliable, high-performance and brightest projectors. Sense Art does many outdoor live events and it is extremely important that the projectors we use have zero downtime during the event. Our recent purchase of two Christie Roadster HD18K projectors and five Christie DHD800 projectors is a good testament to the implicit trust we have for the Christie brand,” stated Steven Vo, managing director, Sense Art Co., Ltd.

According to Clarence Ewe, managing director of Vistron, “Vietnam is a very promising market for the range of visual solutions that Christie has and Sense Art’s purchase has boosted our belief in the potential of this market.”
