What is Christie's clearance inventory?
Christie’s clearance inventory comes from one of three different sources:
- New products that have been recently discontinued
- Factory refurbished product that Christie has previously used for tradeshows and customer demonstrations
- Factory refurbished product that has been returned to Christie from our CDXchange dealer program
What is Christie's product refurbishing process?
Christie refurbishes our digital projection equipment with our trained technical support technicians and many of our products are introduced back into the production line for final re-assembly. These are the basic steps a projector will go though during the refurbishment process:
- Physical inspection
- Lamp inspection and lumen output measurements
- Convergence testing
- Pixel-defect testing
- Search for optical defects and clean surfaces
- Inspect all inputs
- Test RS232 commands
- Upgrade required components and firmware to latest versions
- Final system testing
- Repackaging
What is Christie's lamp policy for refurbished products?
If the Christie refurbished projector is attaining less than 75 percent of the specified lumen output, or if the lamp has more than 300 hours of use on it, the lamp is replaced with a new one.
What is the diference between a refurbished product and a prime product?
Outside of the reduced brightness due to a partially used lamp and some cosmetic defects caused by the transportation and rigging of our demo equipment, very little is different between a refurbished and a new projector. All systems and components are rigorously tested, and if found to be below standard, are replaced with new.
