Christie Digital's UK WEEE Recycling number is: WEE / JE0078UU

Under the United Kingdom Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations, for old equipment purchased before August 2005 and which is being replaced on a one-for-one, like-for-like basis by the purchase of new Christie equipment, Christie is required to provide arrangements for the collection, treatment, recycling, and recovery of the old equipment. The old equipment that your new purchase from Christie replaces is referred to as Historic WEEE.

Under the UK WEEE Regulations, Christie is also required to provide arrangements for the collection, treatment, recycling, and recovery of any new electrical and electronic equipment that you purchase from Christie after August 2005, when that new equipment reaches the end of its lifecycle. This is referred to as New WEEE.

Often when manufacturers and suppliers experience an increase in their operational costs, these costs are passed on to the customer and reflected in an increased market price for their goods and services or even the introduction of hidden surcharges. We want Christie products to remain competitively priced and as a company we recognize we have a responsibility to our environment.

We believe our customers' and partners share this view and with this in mind Christie has taken the following approach to the new WEE regulations:

In return we are asking our customers to pay for the cost of transportation of your WEEE to Christie's appointed recycler in the UK and help us better dispose and recycle unwanted, waste electrical and electronic equipment.

Christie has established a recycling contract with the European Advanced Recycling Network (EARN) and will cover any costs of treatment, recycling and recovery of the equipment on arrival at the EARN facility in the UK. All Historic and New WEEE that arises from the purchase of Christie products is classed as non-hazardous waste and does not contain Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) to class it as hazardous WEEE. As the waste holder, it is your responsibility to confirm that the waste Christie equipment has not become hazardous during the product use. For example, if the equipment has become contaminated during use, please follow the recommended decontamination procedure.

It is your responsibility to arrange and pay for costs of collection and transportation to the recycler. To request collection and transport of WEEE, please use the following link:
