Mike Esch

Vice President, Global Engineering

Mike joined Christie in 2004 as a program manager, becoming senior manager in 2005. In 2008, Mike accepted a position as vice president of engineering with Intelligent Mechatronic Systems Inc. However, he returned to Christie in 2010 to lead the cinema engineering team as senior director, product development entertainment solutions helping to ensure a successful digital cinema rollout. Some of his accomplishments include the introduction of 4K cinema projectors, a smaller, more cost-effective 2K projector and an Integrated Media Block (IMB), which offers exhibitors a more complete Christie solution.

In his current role as Vice President, global engineering, Mike is responsible for all aspects of the company’s engineering product development activities. He promotes a creative and innovative working environment, encouraging the creation of ground-breaking solutions that meet customer needs.

Mike has a Bachelor of Mathematics from the University of Waterloo and a Master of Science from the University of Western Ontario.
