Sean James

Executive Vice President, Global Professional Services

Sean James is responsible for growing Christie’s reputation as a world-class service organization that meets the needs of its diverse customer base.

He leads the global professional services (GPS) team, helping support the efforts of Christie’s sales teams as well as our partners and customers around the world. The GPS team is a fully integrated digital media unit that can support clients from a 360 perspective: from project architecture and content and brand strategy, to technology and software, content production, interactive programming and media sales, as well as deployment and post-launch support. These services are provided for a variety of applications including professional AV, simulation, visualization, digital signage, cinema and many others.

Sean’s team is comprised of digital strategists, experiential producers, brand and motion designers, 3D artists, application programmers, system architects and engineers as well as support personnel managing the 24/7 Network Operations Center (NOC) in Cypress, CA.

Sean joined Christie® in 1997 and was instrumental in developing support programs and relationships with many leading studios in Hollywood as they began transitioning to digital cinema. He successfully won and developed one of the company’s first major service and network operations contracts for pre-show entertainment deployed throughout the U.S.

In 2005, he helped to develop and deploy the world’s first scale digital cinema deployment of nearly 4000 screens across the United States. He also led the development of Christie’s first NOC in 2002, its successor in 2009 and additional NOCs in China, Russia and Australia.

Sean plays a key role in driving Christie’s expansion in the industry. His insights into Christie’s goals and vision have been crucial in enhancing Christie’s reputation as a global leader in digital services and systems integration.
