Christie® through its visual solutions partner, IMTEC, helps to brighten up the night of Gwangju in South Korea with its visual solutions display at the Festival O! Gwangju-Media Art 2012.

Organized by the Gwangju Cultural Foundation, the festival takes place at the historical site of 5.18 Democratic Square from September 5 to September 7, 2012.

Bearing a unique theme of ‘Light and Human,’ the festival features 40 pieces of artworks created by 37 Korean and international renowned artists. The artworks are projected on the external walls of the JUNIL building using two Christie Roadie HD30K and two Christie Roadster S+20K 3-chip DLP® projectors. The projection creates stylistic media facades of 40 meters by 23 meters and 26 meters by 23 meters respectively. From 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. during the Festival, the night of Gwangju will be enlivened with the media facades as well as performances, allowing the public to participate in the interactive media art.
