LED Illumination

LED illumination provides long life, reliability and virtually maintenance-free visual displays.

​Light-Emitting Diodes (LEDs) have emerged as a solid-state alternative for traditional high-intensity discharge (HID) lamps. Offering a number of distinct operational and performance advantages, LED illumination technology can solve some of the challenges found in designing projection arrays and other applications.

  • Solid-state illumination
    As a solid-state technology, LEDs have no moving parts. This makes them very durable and virtually maintenance free, even in the most demanding applications.

  • Instant on
    LEDs turn on instantly so you can quickly share your information, especially in mission-critical situations.

  • Extremely long life
    The rated lifetime of an LED is 60,000 hours, giving you years of operation without the need to replace the light source.

  • No color wheel required
    With LED projectors, there is no need for a motorized color wheel. Red, green and blue LEDs can be sequenced at rates many times faster than color wheels, reducing the likelihood of visible sequencing artifacts.

  • Wider color gamut for more vivid color
    The color spectral characteristics and range surpass that provided by traditional color wheel-based systems. LEDs far exceed European Broadcasting Standards minimums and the system allows color performance to be easily manipulated to best match the application.

  • Better brightness control
