Christie Presents Cutting-Edge Zones at Inaugural InfoComm India

INFOCOMM INDIA/Mumbai – (September 16, 2013) – Christie® presents four various cutting-edge zones at its booth during the inaugural InfoComm India 2013 in Mumbai, India. These zones are equipped with the latest range of visual solutions and are designed to showcase the latest, emerging trends in the AV industry to meet the various needs of the local AV industry. They include the Incredible India zone, the Mission-Critical zone, the Interactive zone and the Presentation zone.

Zone 1: Incredible India Zone
As the global leader in visual technology, Christie collaborates with award-winning projection designer, Bart Kresa, to present the psychedelic ‘Incredible India’ showcase. A Christie Roadster HD20K-J and two Christie HD14K-M projectors will illustrate how a compelling projection mapping visual display is achieved with the lowest cost of ownership.

Ideal for building displays, houses of worship, classrooms, concerts, conference rooms, live events, trade shows and more, the Christie Roadster HD20K-J has the broadest range of high-quality lenses with Intelligent Lens System (ILS™) capabilities. Adopting Xenon illumination to provide the most natural color accuracy and stability, the 3-chip DLP® projector displays colorful visuals at a high brightness of 20,000 lumens.

Offering high efficiency by drawing a maximum power of 1500W (at 110V), the Christie HD14K-M provides users a full brightness of 13,500 lumens with two lamps instead of four. This high-performance and feature-rich projector is the most compact in its class. It is also available as a 3D display solution and for increased flexibility; it is upgradeable from its existing 2D display technology to include 3D capabilities.

Zone 2: Mission-Critical Zone
Visitors seeking a cost-efficient, 24/7 mission-critical control room display can draw inspiration from Christie’s 2 by 2 67–inch SXGA+ DLP® LED-based solution at the show. Real-time feeds from several IP cameras placed around the booth are displayed on the videowall to create a “Homeland Security” solution for city surveillance.

Offering the highest brightness in the market, the industry-leading Christie Entero™ HB series is designed for zero maintenance. It provides simple, intuitive hardware installation, minimal set-up time and effort, and a modular design for fast and easy servicing if required – with no scheduled maintenance for at least 5 years. Its Christie ArraySync™ also provides superior, intelligent, automatic color and brightness wall management.

Christie Phoenix™, an open content management system designed specifically for control room applications, displays all content shown on the video wall. A network streaming solution at its core, Christie Phoenix allows users to seamlessly access and control information, in virtually any location to collaborate, synthesize and generate fast and accurate decisions in the most critical situations.

Zone 3: Interactive Zone
To create a captivating experience for the audience, Christie exhibits an “interactive” multi-touch digital canvas using Christie MicroTiles® and Christie Interactivity Kit. The 4 by 3 large-format display wall with a responsive touchscreen allows users to be part of a memorable digital “gaming” experience with image quality and vibrant, true-to-life colors. Christie JumpStart, an innovative, straightforward and robust content management solution for digital displays requiring up to six video inputs, manages all content.

The Christie Interactivity Kit also makes setting up interactivity for large-format displays easy, affordable and fast. It is quick to assemble – even out in the field - is easily integrated, and offers affordable, responsive, multi-touch performance. Its groundbreaking technology lets multiple users interact simultaneously with a rectangular video wall, with the resolution and speed needed to support finger-based gestures such as flicking, pinching, rotating and scrolling.

Zone 4: Presentation Zone
For the first time in India, Christie unveils its Christie Brio, a powerful meeting presentation and collaboration solution providing a rich participation experience. Easily installed and used, it allows local users to virtually meet, share information and collaborate effortlessly.

Using wired or wireless connections, it automatically coordinates and displays up to five simultaneous video and audio presentations on one or two meeting room screens. Multiple attendees can now run audio and video presentations from their own handheld devices without scrambling for matching display cables and adapters, plugging in dongles, or installing and configuring new software to get it working. This helps to overcome geographical distances, and eliminates the challenge of single and multi- site workplace meetings.

“India’s economy is expanding very quickly and the country is now adopting some of the latest visual technologies in its infrastructure and entertainment development. In the last few years, India has marked several technological milestones in the visual industry. It was the Asia Pacific country to do projection mapping on a historical monument, the first to use 3D holographic projection for a government election, and the first to use projection for its first large-scale Indian theme park,” comments Lin Yu, vice president, Christie Asia Pacific. “As India grows even further, we’ll definitely see even more impressive visual installations for different applications including projection mapping, control room applications, digital cinemas as well as advanced visualization and simulation.”

“We’ve brought this versatile and innovative showcase to demonstrate the options available to our Indian users for homeland security, large events, interactive displays as well as presentations. All these displays help provide infinite possibilities that they can achieve through the use of Christie visual solutions to meet their visual objectives,” says Rajesh Patkar, deputy general manager, Christie India. “The new Christie Brio in particular is a revolutionary collaboration and meeting solution that can help companies in India to overcome the challenges of multiple meeting sites. This helps reduce costs and also enhances the overall participation experience for their meeting attendees.”
