INFOCOMM/BEIJING – (April 11, 2011) – Christie® is demonstrating a diverse range of innovative display solutions at InfoComm China in Beijing from April 11-13, 2012.
For its largest InfoComm presentation in Asia Pacific, the Christie booth will be divided into five separate zones: 4K Solutions zone, Interactivity Solutions zone, Control Room Solutions zone, immersive Solutions zone, Broadcast Room Solutions zone.
Christie is showcasing the Christie D4K35 projector, the all-new Christie J series next generation 3-chip DLP® Xenon platform, and the Christie Jumpstart content management solution. Befitting its status as a trend-setter in digital projection, and in collaboration with projection artist Bart Kresa, Christie will also demonstrate a 3D video projection mapping show using one Christie Roadie HD+35K and two Christie HK20K-J projectors.
“One of our objectives in presenting a state-of-the-art 3D projection mapping at our booth is to demonstrate the trend towards 3D projection mapping, especially outdoor architectural projection done on a large scale. Christie’s projectors were behind the successful countdown party at The Bund in Shanghai last year and, as more event organizers embrace this trend of outdoor projection mapping, Christie is confident that we will be playing a more active role in this area,” said Lin Yu, vice president, Christie Asia Pacific.
Highlights at the Christie Booth
Introduced at InfoComm USA 2011, the Christie D4K35 projector comes with unparalleled 4K resolution, performance and image quality and delivers 35,000 lumens with DLP quality and reliability for the ProAV market.
Visitors to the booth will be treated to a visual spectacle of 4K content projected onto a 200-inch 16:9 screen using the Christie D4K35. According to Frank Xiao, general manager of Christie China, the Christie D4K35 projector targets rental staging, entertainment venues and larger auditoriums that require ultra-high resolution and matchless brightness.
Christie is also displaying its next generation 3-chip DLP Xenon platform – the Christie J Series – at InfoComm China 2012 for the first time. This new platform targets rental, staging and fixed install applications requiring high brightness, superior performance and crisp, clear images – all in a compact, rugged and reliable package.
“One major advantage of the J series is that it comes with the Christie Twist™ image warping and edge-blending, thus eliminating the need for external processors and reducing the cost of installation. And because the J series is running on a Xenon illumination system that offers the best color reproduction and stability, the images produced just got better,” explained Xiao.
Using InfoComm China as its Asia Pacific launch pad is Christie JumpStart. The Christie JumpStart is an innovative robust content management solution that works with digital displays requiring up to four video inputs. Packaged with a media server, Christie JumpStart can display multiple, high-bandwidth video files, graphics, Blu-ray™ and DVD movies, color swatches and text onto a five to ten megapixels digital canvas.
Visitors to the Christie booth will also see a technology preview of the Christie Interactivity Kit that allows multiple users to interact simultaneously with content on any Christie MicroTiles or video wall using finger touch gestures.
“Christie Interactivity Kit is a complete solution that provides you with the creative flexibility to incorporate multipoint touch interactivity into your display. With the addition of the Christie Interactivity Kit and the Christie JumpStart content management solution, we’re broadening our Christie MicroTiles solutions system to help meet the needs of our customers,” added Xiao.
Christie will also showcase solutions for state-of-the-art control room and 3D simulation applications. For the first time, a 2 by 2 double-storey control room video wall using the Christie Entero® RPMWU-LED01 72” cube will be shown. Christie will also exhibit the Christie Mirage WU7K-M. Featuring full WUXGA resolution display and dual lamps, the Christie Mirage WU7K-M is one of Christie’s most advanced 3D projectors, delivering uniform brightness of over 6,000 lumens.
Also on the booth are the award-winning Christie MicroTiles® in a skyscraper configuration and in a 3 by 6 array on both sides of a specially designed broadcast area.
