Christie Strengthens Control Room Solutions Team

CYPRESS, CA - (March 27, 2007) - Christie is pleased to announce the appointment of two top industry experts, further strengthening its world-class control room solutions team.  Bringing extensive experience in strategic marketing and international business, George Man is promoted to Business Development Manager, Control Room Solutions.  In this new role, he will support regional managers and partners by cultivating opportunities in key control room markets.  With over 25 years of Pro AV knowledge and expertise, David Traeger joins Christie as Southern U.S. Regional Sales Manager.  Traeger will support control room distribution channels throughout the region, managing key relationships with Christie partners, consultants and other industry associates.  

Since joining Christie in 2005, George Man’s strong knowledge of telecom engineering and experience in the rear projection video wall market have been instrumental in helping identify and drive key revenue sources.  In his new role, Man will use his sharp industry insight and business acumen to enhance Christie’s exposure to new markets and strengthen its position with global engineering and integration firms.

Traeger joins Christie with extensive experience in the professional & commercial AV industry, including a solid history in systems integration, AV systems sales, pro sound engineering, audio production, visual projections systems, and video teleconferencing systems engineering.   His AV market expertise will be instrumental in providing valuable sales, marketing and technical support.  Based out of Austin, Texas, Traeger will work with partners and integrators in the Southern Region of the U.S., as well as Puerto Rico and the Caribbean.    He is a long time member of InfoComm International® and the National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA).  Previously, Traeger held positions at Extron Electronics where he was regional applications specialist/trainer; Barco, Inc. as business unit manager and market development manager; and Polycom, Inc. as an AV systems engineer.
