CYPRESS, CA – (October 19, 2006) – Christie, a leading provider of visual solutions for business, entertainment and industry, announces its multi-city tour to demonstrate the company’s latest generation of control room display system products. Showcasing Christie’s TotalVIEW™ control room solutions, the tour will offer hands-on demonstrations of the new single-chip and three-chip DLP® rear projection display and control systems designed and manufactured at Christie’s North American ISO9001:2000-certified factory.
The tour runs from October 25 – November 15 and travels to major cities including:
• Orange County, California (Oct 25)
• Dallas, Texas (Nov 1 & 2)
• Atlanta, Georgia (Nov 7)
• Washington, D.C. (Nov 14 & 15)
During the show, Christie field application engineers and control room solutions experts will provide detailed technical overviews and demonstrate the new solutions.
HD Sets New Standards
In addition to its high performance XGA and SXGA+ rear projection displays, Christie will demonstrate the industry’s first 3-Chip DLP® HD rear projection system designed specifically for control room applications. The Christie TotalVIEW DLV1920-DX rear screen projector features native HD 1920x1080 resolution and 3-chip DLP technology that provides a remarkable 41% increase in resolution over SXGA+; the perfect solution for tiling extremely detailed displays. More pixels per screen reduces the number of projectors needed to achieve the same quality results; it also means there are less lamps to replace and less maintenance.
Appointments are by request, with hourly presentations from 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM. The first 20 registrants for each location will also receive a complimentary copy of “Audiovisual Best Practices: The Design and Integration Process.”
“The control room market continues to grow, with utilities – including water, gas, and energy – as well as the security/surveillance and transportation industries requiring sophisticated visual solutions. These environments demand increasingly robust and reliable technology,” remarked David Fluegeman, vice president of Christie’s Visual Environments group. “The Christie TotalVIEW brand meets the needs of these wide-ranging environments with complete end-to-end solutions. We invite everyone to check out our powerful, highly flexible line of purpose-built and customizable products that are bringing a new level of performance and reliability to today’s market.”
Christie's next generation line of control room products are scheduled to begin shipping in November 2006.
