Empire Theatres Selects Christie DLP Cinema® Projectors To Meet Surging Demand For 3D Movies

Las Vegas/SHOWEST – (March 11, 2008) – Christie, a global leader in Digital Cinema, announced that Empire Theatres, Canada’s second largest and fastest growing film exhibition company, is bringing the exciting world of digital 3D movies to 16 theatres across Canada.  Using Christie DLP Cinema® projectors enhanced with REAL D 3D technology, Empire will feature the latest Hollywood 3D releases.

With installations scheduled to be completed by the end of March, Empire Theatres is already reporting record ticket sales at select 3D-capable theatres.  Empire Theatres is working with Christie to complete the latest wave of installations in response to the growing demand for 3D features.
