Christie projection mapping helps communicate the coastal crisis

The LSU Center for River Studies is the result of a collaborative partnership between the Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA) and Louisiana State University (LSU). Charged with reversing the loss of wetlands and coastal areas of Louisiana, the CPRA uses the 10,000 sq. ft. model of the Lower Mississippi River to help research, study and communicate what experts call the Coastal Crisis. Integral to its mandate of communicating what’s at stake, a projection system comprising of Christie projectors, Christie Mystique and Christie Pandoras Box is used to projection map geographical details as well as facts, figures and more onto the actual river model.
