Christie technology takes center stage at multi-campus Central Christian Church
Central Christian Church, based out of Henderson, Nevada, is spreading its message of radical grace with the help of Christie® projection solutions. With six dedicated campuses averaging 18,000 visitors a week, as well as a “God Behind Bars” program that takes sermons to inmates at local prisons, the house of worship relies on cutting-edge digital technology to help achieve its mission.
Mychel John Maltbie, area director of production at Central Christian Church, is pleased with Christie’s involvement with the growth and development of the organization. “Central is a pretty exciting place. We average 18,000 people per weekend on all our campuses, and we’re growing. We originally started talking to Christie when we grew to include multi-sites; the idea was to start satellite campuses all around the Las Vegas Valley and eventually around the world, using technology to share our message of radical grace,” he said.
The church’s six campuses use a variety of Christie projection solutions to enhance worship services. Currently, the Henderson Campus Auditorium uses one Christie Roadie 25K and two Christie Roadster S+16K, 3-chip DLP® projectors. The Summerlin Campus Auditorium uses one Christie Roadster S+16K and two Christie DS+6K, 3-chip DLP units, with a Christie LX1000 (3LCD) projector installed in the separate Summerlin Kids’ Environment. The Southwest Campus Auditorium utilizes one Roadster S+16K unit and two Christie DS+6K, 3-chip DLP projectors, while the Northeast Campus Auditorium has installed a Christie DHD700, 1-chip DLP unit.
