Christie MicroTiles inspire students to re-imagine digital art
Located in the heart of the city, the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC) offers students the freedom to develop as artists, designers and scholars through the creation of paintings, sculptures, films, performances, installations and more.
One of the school’s AV employees had previously seen a Christie® MicroTiles® display at a local trade show and thought it would be a great choice for the student center. When she mentioned the idea to the team at SAIC, they quickly realized it was exactly the type of solution they were looking for to really make a statement with their video display wall.
“We needed a high-quality artwork to really stop people in their tracks and draw attention to our window... and what we got fit the bill. Thanks to the strong artwork of Lee Blalock and the technological capability of the Christie MicroTiles, it was well received beyond anyone’s expectations.” Craig Downs,
SAIC Director of Media Services
