Let’s recap InfoComm 2023!

July 14, 2023

A look at the highlights of InfoComm 2023

In this piece:

InfoComm 2023 has wrapped! We had a great show – meeting partners, media, old friends, and new customers — while showing off our newest ProAV solutions. So, whether you attended the show or kept your eyes pinned to social media for the latest updates from afar (with over 700 exhibitors at the show, it was busy!), here’s a recap of the highlights from our booth.

The booth

With over 29,000 registered attendees, InfoComm was back. It was a busy show, and our booth was packed. Let’s get into some of the solutions we displayed at the show.

MicroTiles LED

We featured our latest Christie MicroTiles® LED 0.75mm and 1.0mm pixel pitches. And even with our 0.75mm wall at 70% brightness, booth visitors could hardly believe how bright it is! Our hands-on MicroTiles LED demo showcased how easy it is to snap the tiles onto the chassis, and how the self-sensing Neighbor Detection™ automatically detects and self-locates each individual tile while AutoMatch matches color and brightness across the display.

Our MicroTiles LED multipixel pitch display garnered attention as well. This unique display showed how four different pixel pitches, from 0.75mm to 1.5mm, can be combined in a video wall.

See it for yourself! Watch Bryan Boehme, Christie’s executive director of Americas enterprise sales and global business development, discuss our booth and our MicroTiles LED display with rAVe’s Gary Kayye:

Powerful projectors

The North American debut of our 4K22-HS 1DLP® projector turned heads with its on-screen projection; its brightness even left some questioning if this really was projection and not an LED video wall. As the first 22,500-lumen 4K UHD 1DLP® projector on the market, this projector delivers high brightness, high resolution, and color accuracy.

We also showcased our DWU1400-GS 1DLP laser projector paired with our new Christie Intelligent Camera (CIC), a powerful, time-saving accessory that works with select Christie 1DLP projectors to automatically adjust the image color to better fit the color of the projection screen.

Check it out! Watch Joel St-Denis, our director of product management, demonstrate this feature in a video with rAVe:

Christie Hedra preview

Alongside the InfoComm debut of our 4K22-HS projector, we previewed Hedra, our secure new TAA-compliant control room video wall processor. Connecting Hedra to a mock control room workstation enabled a hands-on demonstration for attendees.

Awards

While we had fun meeting fellow AV enthusiasts, we also took home some awards!

ProjectorCentral awarded our 4K22-HS 1DLP projector “Best of Show,” while Systems Contractor News (SCN) awarded our MicroTiles LED 1.0mm pixel pitch “Most Innovative Video Display.” Our 4K22-HS also won “Best New Large Venue Projector” and MicroTiles LED 0.75mm won “Best New Digital Signage Display” in rAVe’s the BEST of InfoComm 2023 awards.

Even though we didn’t take home a Mondo DR award, we are glad our partner Stage Audio Works was shortlisted for The Museum of Science and Technology in Islam.

Let's do this again!

That’s a wrap! We loved connecting, sharing our expertise, and showcasing our innovations, and we can’t wait to reunite at next year’s InfoComm in Las Vegas.
