Cinema Sunshine Iizuka chooses Christie 4K RGB
Located in Fukuoka, a major city in Japan’s Kyushu Island, the Cinema Sunshine lizuka multiplex operated by Sasaki Kogyo Co. Ltd comprises nine well-appointed auditoriums featuring different screen sizes to accommodate a diverse audience. With a total seating capacity of 1,247, the multiplex is adorned with futuristic color schemes, creating an ultramodern and tranquil ambiance in its richly decorated interiors.
Specifically, the premium “BESTIA” theatre, boasting an expansive 11-meter-wide and 4.6-meter-high screen (36 feet by 15.1 feet) along with 205 seats, is equipped with the Christie CP4435-RGB pure laser projector featuring Real|Laser illumination technology to deliver crisp, unmatched images to the screen. This projector delivers an impressive brightness of up to 35,000 lumens, ensuring a highly engaging visual experience. Additionally, the CP4435-RGB projectors are installed in Cinemas 3 and 7, both featuring an 11.55-meter-wide (37.89 feet) screen and seating capacities of 205 and 145, respectively. Cinema Sunshine Iizuka proudly stands as the first multiplex in Fukuoka powered by Christie CineLife+ Series projectors, featuring the world’s fastest processor and RGB pure laser illumination.
“At Cinema Sunshine Iizuka, we take pride in delivering an unparalleled cinematic experience, and choosing Christie’s RGB pure laser projectors for our ‘BESTIA’ theatre was a natural choice,” says Tetsuo Matsushita, acting general manager of Sasaki Kogyo Co. Ltd. “The wide color gamut and the ability to produce more realistic, razor-sharp images in 4K resolution set Christie apart from the competition. Moviegoers visiting our cinema can expect stunning onscreen visuals, enhancing the immersive quality and allowing them to be truly captivated by the magic of movies.”
Cinema Sunshine Iizuka garners glowing reviews
Cinema Sunshine Iizuka has garnered glowing reviews since its opening earlier this year, driven by the enthusiastic anticipation of the local community. The heightened excitement from residents eagerly awaiting its launch speaks volumes about the cinema’s significance. According to Matsushita, patrons have particularly praised the superior visual experience, highlighting the clarity of images that distinguishes it from neighboring cinemas. This acclaim is a testament to Sasaki Kogyo’s commitment, showcased through its investment in Christie’s advanced 4K RGB laser projectors, delivering an unmatched and visually immersive cinematic journey for its audiences.
