Christie Celebrates AV Awards Success

Wokingham, UK. –​ ​Christie is delighted to have been successful at the AV Awards 2017, where Pandoras Box 6.0 & ​Widget Designer 6.0 scooped the Audio & Video Management & Control Product of the Year award. In addition, Christie partner Tribar Imagineering Ltd picked up the Live Event of the Year award for its Turkmenistan – Afghanistan railway link inauguration event. The stunning project used 16 Christie Boxer 4K30 projectors to create a powerful projection mapping narrative.​

At a glittering ceremony held at The Grosvenor House Hotel, more than 1100 audiovisual industry representatives attended the event on the night. Gavin Chatfield, UK & Nordics Market Development Manager, was on hand to collect the Audio & Video Management & Control Product of the Year award. "It's a huge honour to win at the AV Awards, and we feel privileged to have been successful in such a competitive category," says Gavin. "The award is testament to the outstanding work carried out by the Pandoras Box development team, who have produced an intuitive product which has allowed our customers to create ​exciting and innovative content for all types of large scale events."

Christie Pandoras Box combines the latest rendering technology with intuitive media and show control. Christie Pandoras Box 6.0 features editable meshes & warps, UV map adjustments and live canvas masking. Pandoras Box integrates with Christie displays and processing solutions, such as the Christie Spyder and Christie Mystique, to create an even more powerful platform for unprecedented visual experiences. The new Widget Designer 6.0 redesigns include an HTML5 user interface, native HTML support, and CSS styles. Animation and transitions are now available for all pages and widgets.

The Turkmenistan – Afghanistan railway link inauguration event, carried out by Tribar Imagineering Ltd, marked the inauguration of the first part of a new railway connecting Turkmenistan and Afghanistan for the first time. Presidents of both countries attended this event which marked a development of huge economic importance for the region. The high brightness of the Christie Boxer 4K30 – along with its compact, lightweight and rugged design for easy transport – made it the perfect projector for Tribar's needs in the spectacular event which pioneered AV technologies to a potential new market in central Asia.​​
