BOGOTA, Colombia - Christie®, the world leader in creating and sharing the best visual and audio experiences, is pleased to announce its participation at Tecnomultimedia InfoComm Colombia 2017, to be held November 14-17 at CORFERIAS - Bogota International Business and Exhibitions Center.
With the support of its Videocorp partner, Christie will be exhibiting at Stand 807 with its GS Series of 1DLP® technology laser phosphor projectors, which afford 20,000 hours of lampless operation at low cost. Specifically, it will be showcasing the Christie DWU850-GS model, a projector with 7,500 lumens ANSI and WUXGA resolution that is ideal for boardrooms, higher education and location-based entertainment.
Unique to this year’s event is the presentation of Control Rooms Summit, a two-day academic symposium on the design and installation of control rooms in which Christie will play a major role. Christie has over 30 years’ experience in videowalls and processors, which are designed to satisfy the needs of the most demanding control room environments.
Omar Olivera, control room sales manager for Christie Mexico, will present a paper titled “Tendencies in Signal Monitoring in Control Centers,” where he will expound his vision for new display-and-signal relay technologies in the pipeline to be used in the design of control centers. Mr. Olivera’s presentation takes place November 15 at 4:50 p.m. in Pavilion 3.
Christie Leads With AV-over-IP Training
In addition, within the framework of the program of conferences at InfoComm Colombia 2017, Olivera will lead a specialized training session in Software Defined Video over Ethernet (SDVoE) systems, to be held on November 14 at 3:45 p.m. in Hall A at the Agora Convention Center. Attendees will be given insight into the Alliance and its basic technology, plus the advantages for designers, programmers and end users.
Christie is one of the founding partners of the SDVoE Alliance, the consortium created to drive forward the standardization of AV-over-IP. Christie recently launched Christie Terra, a range of products comprising an expanding line-up of transmitters, receivers, processing and control hardware and software with which to design and integrate simple, flexible, highly scalable and affordable online systems to SDVoE standards.
Christie Terra solutions are compatible with 4K video formats of up to 60Hz and offer unprecedented capacities enabling the transport, processing and control of uncompressed video, with zero-frame latency and artifact-free, over affordable Ethernet 10G components.
“As leaders in image processing and AV-over-IP applications, we are delighted to be at InfoComm Colombia, promoting the advantages of SDVoE systems, which guarantee impeccable quality video and zero latency, ensuring a standardized focus that will maximize the architecture and performance of AV-over-IP systems in terms of scale, reach and user experience,” explained Juan Carlos Chávez, director of Christie in Latin America.
