Heading to InfoComm? We are, too!
June 11, 2023
We’re headed to InfoComm 2023 and can’t wait to showcase our newest solutions and smart technology for the ProAV market.
In addition to all the innovative, exciting technology you’ll see at the Christie booth, InfoComm is a great opportunity to reconnect and meet people in person, whether it’s old friends or new contacts.
So, in advance of the show, we’d like to introduce you to six Christie team members you’ll meet at our booth. And now that you know their names, stop by our booth, #1632, to say hi and introduce yourself!
Bryan Boehme, executive director, Enterprise Americas
Tell us a little about yourself – what is your role at Christie and how long have you been with the company?
I’m the executive director for the Americas, and also responsible for global themed and immersive entertainment clients. I’ve been with Christie for over 20 years.
How many years have you attended InfoComm?
I’ve attended InfoComm for 35 years – and I’ve only missed one year!
What are you most looking forward to at this year’s show?
I’m most excited to show off our newest products, including the Griffyn® 4K50-RGB pure laser projector. The Griffyn 4K50-RGB is the lightest and brightest RGB pure laser projector available, with a low cost of ownership and so many features that are not offered on any other high-brightness projector on the market.
Is there a Christie solution you’re especially excited for attendees to see at this year’s show?
I’m looking forward to our participation in the ATL [Attractions Technology Lab] event, which will be held off-site at Oceaneering, from June 14-16. We’ll demonstrate a complete technical mockup of a trackless vehicle, 3D dark ride experience with our partners in the Attractions Technology Collaborative. Come experience the ride and learn how it’s done from the experts.
Do you have a favorite InfoComm memory?
There are so many good ones. Most of my favorite memories are meeting with new and old customers and growing our collaboration face-to-face.
Could you share one fun fact about you that not many people know?
I played semi-pro beach roller hockey in the 1990s.
Arlonna Seymour, executive director, Corporate Marketing
Tell us a little about yourself – what is your role at Christie and how long have you been with the company?
I’m the executive director corporate marketing and this November, I’ll have been with Christie for 25 years!
How many years have you attended InfoComm?
I’ve been attending InfoComm since 1999 – but not every single year. I had a 5 or 6-year hiatus when I supported a different line of business for Christie. InfoComm happens in June and in my family, that’s a busy month – the show has often collided with my daughter’s birthday, my birthday, or my wedding anniversary!
What are you most looking forward to at this year’s show?
Re-connecting with our North American partners and customers and working the booth!
Is there a Christie solution you’re especially excited for attendees to see at this year’s show?
It’s hard to pin down just one… I’d have to say our multi-pixel pitch Christie MicroTiles® LED display and, our gorgeous pure RGB laser projection – and of course, Christie’s renowned image quality!
Do you have a favorite InfoComm memory?
Absolutely! Celebrating my 50th birthday at the show with a surprise birthday cake on the booth, Happy Birthday sung by everyone, and my colleague Markus Zeppenfeld circling my feet with a birthday message – created by Christie Pandoras Box®!
Could you share one fun fact about you that not many people know?
My first name is completely made up! It’s Arlene and Donna put together. And not many people pronounce it right the first time they see it!
Joseph Conover, director of sales, Live Entertainment and Events, Americas
Tell us a little about yourself – what is your role at Christie and how long have you been with the company?
Though I just started with Christie this year, I’ve been working in the global immersive entertainment space for many years. I am personally proud to have placed more 50,000 lumen 3DLP® projectors in the field than anyone else in my previous role.
I was attracted to Christie as it emerged post-pandemic with significant innovations, including its line-up of RGB pure laser projection, as well as Christie’s focus on the entertainment and live events markets.
How many years have you attended InfoComm?
This will be my 10th year at InfoComm. It’s been great to see the event evolve with AVIXA over the years and how it continues to hold significant industry value and respect from attendees.
What are you most looking forward to at this year’s show?
I’m looking forward to Christie’s showcase of innovations, and diving into some of the Live Event sessions. There are quite a few, but at the top of my list is “Video Engineering Nerd Central” hosted by Kevin Ring of Nationwide Video, on June 15.
Is there a Christie solution you’re especially excited for attendees to see at this year’s show?
I’m excited to show the Griffyn 4K50-RGB with 50,000 lumens and the 4K35-RGB with 36,500 lumens. And the M 4K25 RGB pure laser projector is an amazing solution for our live event partners. When bundled with Professional Services and software tools, it’s a customizable holistic solution that can be delivered in the field for a formidable ROI.
Do you have a favorite InfoComm memory?
I have many fun and interesting stories of helping move prototypes forward, on the floor with sore feet, as well as actually selling all the show gear that was used for the event. We’d load it onto a truck one by one as we worked in the convention center without air conditioning. And more importantly, are all the warm memories of running around town to attend multiple evening events with industry friends.
Could you share one fun fact about you that not many people know?
In my earlier days, I was very fortunate to be able to race motorcycles, and later, Corvettes. A highlight was surpassing 200 mph on a closed course.
Maz Zaeefjou, director of sales and business development, Professional Services
Tell us a little about yourself – what is your role at Christie and how long have you been with the company?
I’ve been with Christie since 2016. Before joining our Professional Services team in 2021, I managed enterprise channel sales for eastern and south-central U.S.
In my current role as director of sales and business development for Professional Services, I support partners around the world, and customers in the enterprise, visualization, and themed entertainment markets.
How many years have you attended InfoComm?
15 years!
What are you most looking forward to at this year’s show?
I’m looking forward to connecting with a lot of customers and industry folks in person, learning how their businesses are evolving post-COVID, and how we can better optimize our services to support them. I’m also looking forward to seeing new technologies other manufacturers introduce.
Is there a Christie solution you’re especially excited for attendees to see at this year’s show?
I think the new line of Christie® 3DLP® RGB pure laser projectors is very interesting from a color fidelity standpoint and how our engineering team was able to consolidate everything in a much smaller chassis compared to other solutions. It’s a unique differentiator.
Do you have a favorite InfoComm memory?
No matter which group of people I spent time with – at Christie, other partners, or the previous AV integrators I’ve worked for – there’s always been a lot of laughs and fun around the dinner tables. Those are great memories.
Could you share one fun fact about you that not many people know?
I graduated High School in Dubai in the early 90s and I could barely speak, read, or write English before I went to university. I was adamant about not falling behind, so I spent hours using a physical dictionary to translate everything word by word before I could study the materials. There were no personal computers, smartphones, or Google translate - it was a different era.
Mike Bernhardt, director of product management, Christie
Tell us a little about yourself – what is your role at Christie and how long have you been with the company?
I recently rejoined Christie after a short time away. In my five years with the company, I’ve had the great honor of working with extremely talented teams developing solutions for our customers in themed entertainment, enterprise, and large-scale experiences.
Currently, I am working with the direct-view display team to bring incredible solutions to the market, including MicroTiles LED, which builds on the distinct heritage of the original category-defining MicroTiles with innovative new capabilities.
How many years have you attended InfoComm?
This will be my 7th InfoComm.
What are you most looking forward to at this year’s show?
As one of the largest and most important events in the AV industry, InfoComm offers a great opportunity to share our latest products and solutions with current and potential Christie customers.
It’s been a few years since I last attended InfoComm, and I’m excited for the opportunity to meet our customers, and to see how they respond to the exciting things we’re showing. InfoComm will also be a great opportunity to learn about new trends in the industry.
Is there a Christie solution you’re especially excited for attendees to see at this year’s show?
Naturally, I am super excited for attendees to see the latest developments in MicroTiles LED. They have a very prominent place on the booth, and I know guests will be blown away by the quality and creative capabilities they provide. People will leave our booth inspired by all the ways MicroTiles LED can bring their creative vision to life.
Do you have a favorite InfoComm memory?
So many memories. During my first InfoComm with Christie, we were launching Mystique™ [an automated camera-based alignment and recalibration software so operators can install, align, calibrate, and maintain multi-projector systems quickly, and with repeatable accuracy].
As a part of the “one more thing” during the demo, we showed perfectly aligned projectors on a 3D object, and the speed and quality of the alignment blew people away! I remember one visitor who was convinced it was all smoke and mirrors, and when they realized it was really happening, he shouted, “Now this is why I come to the Christie booth every year – you guys always have the coolest stuff!” It was pretty rewarding.
And one more great memory then I’ll stop. One year I got stuck in the middle of a flash mob. That was pretty cool.
Could you share one fun fact about you that not many people know?
When I was in university, I was part of a three-person comedy improv team. We won the national Theatresports competition (think of – “Who’s Line Is It Anyway?”). Second place went to a comedy troupe that would later become Kids in the Hall, which went on to fame in their own television series and movie.
Erin Kim, digital media designer
Tell us a little about yourself – what is your role at Christie and how long have you been with the company?
My name is Erin, I’ve been with Christie for just over 3 years. I am a digital media designer, which means I help create anything visual design related, print or digital! For InfoComm, this can mean any of the handouts, collateral, wall designs, and online marketing visuals.
How many years have you attended InfoComm?
This will be my first year!
What are you most looking forward to at this year’s show?
Being able to finally see the designs that the creative team and I have worked on at a tradeshow in person.
Is there a Christie solution you’re especially excited for attendees to see at this year’s show?
I’m really excited for attendees to see our amazing LED video wall solutions.
Do you have a favorite InfoComm memory?
Not yet, but I’m hoping to make some this year!
Could you share one fun fact about you that not many people know?
I have been doing gymnastics and cheer ever since I was little.
