What is Christie's clearance inventory?

Christie’s clearance inventory comes from the following sources:

New products that have been discontinued
Factory-refurbished product that has been used for tradeshows and customer demonstrations
Factory-refurbished product that has been returned to Christie through the CDXchange dealer program

What is the refurbishing process?

All refurbished products inspected by our trained technicians. Many of the products are introduced back into the production line for final re-assembly. These are the basic steps a product will go through during the refurbishment process:

Physical inspection
Lamp inspection and lumen output measurements
Convergence testing
Pixel-defect testing
Search for optical defects and clean surfaces
Inspect all inputs
Test RS232 commands
Upgrade required components and firmware to latest versions
Final system testing
Repackaging

What is Christie's lamp policy for refurbished products?

If the Christie refurbished projector is attaining less than 75 percent of the specified lumen output, or if the lamp has more than 300 hours of use on it, the lamp is replaced with a new one.

What is the difference between a refurbished product and a prime product?

Outside of the reduced brightness due to a partially used lamp and some cosmetic defects caused by the transportation and rigging of our demo equipment, very little is different between a refurbished projector and a new projector. All systems and components are rigorously tested, and if found to be below standard, are replaced with new. Who pays for shipping?

The customer pays for shipping from the indicated warehouse location.
