Christie Wins ‘Most Influential Company’ Award

WOKINGHAM, England – Christie®, a leader in creating and delivering the world's best visual and audio experiences, has been awarded the "Most Influential Company" award at this year's AV Awards.This special category – created to celebrate the anniversary of the AV Awards' 20th year – honors the company deemed to have made the largest contribution to the AV market over the past 20 years. 

Christie emerged as the winner, chosen from among the industry's biggest and brightest companies, at a sold out ceremony held at The Grosvenor House Hotel, London, as more than 1,100 audiovisual industry representatives applauded. 

​​Announcing the award, AV Magazine Editor Clive Couldwell cited Christie's "…seminal influence on many of the leading technologies and solutions employed in the pro AV industry over the past two decades," adding that the company, its business partners and customers have "…combined to demonstrate continued innovation, providing tools and solutions that solve market problems and deliver outstanding audiovisual experiences." ​

Christie was chosen by a panel of knowledgeable judges, made up of Clive Couldwell, Editor, AV Magazine; Peter Lloyd, former Editor, AV Magazine (1976-2008); Mike Blackman, Managing Director, Integrated Systems Europe (ISE); David Labuskes, Chief Executive Officer, AVIXA and Graham Naylor-Smith, Associate Director, Ove Arup & Partners. 

Noted Sean James, executive vice president, Christie Entertainment & Enterprise (E&E), "Get​​ting here was half the fun.
