On show is a mesmerizing projection mapping demonstration using the Christie D4K40-RGB pure laser 3DLP® projector. This marks the official debut of the D4K40-RGB in the Asia Pacific region since its introduction in late 2018. Designed to meet the special demands of giant screens, planetariums, large-scale events and theme park attractions, the 40,000-lumen projector delivers greater than 90 percent of the Rec. 2020 color space for rich, vibrant, true-to-life visuals - all built into a projector weighing less than half of its closest competitor.
The D4K40-RGB is also equipped with Christie® TruLife™ electronics and Christie RealLaser™ illumination to offer over 30,000 hours of operation to 80 percent brightness, 5000:1 contrast ratio, and up to 120 frames per second. Since its launch, the D4K40-RGB has been well-received by customers from around the world, including the organizers of Expo 2020 Dubai, which has named Christie as the event’s official displays and projections partner, and acquired more than 250 projectors to light up the Al Wasl Plaza’s iconic dome.
Also making its official introduction at the IAAPA Expo Asia is the Christie 4K10-HS 1DLP® laser projector that combines the cost-savings of 1DLP technology, the long operational life of laser and the image quality of 4K UHD resolution. The result is a high-performance 10,000-lumen, 4K UHD, HDR10 compatible laser projector that ideal for entertainment venues, fixed installations, and live events. At the booth, visitors can witness a live demonstration of the 4K10-HS on a 5-meter-wide screen, and be wowed by its enhanced color performance, thanks to the patented Christie BoldColor Technology that reproduces vibrant and natural visuals that pop off the screen.
Christie’s Ken Wheatley to speak at Education Sessions @ IAAPA Expo Asia
Besides the exciting booth showcase, Christie will participate in one of the Education Sessions specially arranged for IAAPA Expo Asia, titled “The Evolution of Visual Media Technology”, to be held in Grand Ballroom 2 of Jumeirah Hotel on Wednesday, June 12, from 3:30p.m to 4:30p.m.
Ken Wheatley, Senior Director, Global Business Development, Entertainment, Christie will be speaking during the session, which focuses on how Visual Media Technology is one of the core elements of direct storytelling in any attraction. In his presentation, Wheatley will explain how the evolution of this technology has offered high-quality technical equipment that delivers a unique experience to guests, whilst their user-friendly setup will lower the cost of manpower and reduces the chance of operation failure.
Organized by the International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions (IAAPA), IAAPA Expo Asia is the premier international event for the multibillion-dollar leisure and attractions industry in the Asia Pacific region. More than 8,500 global amusement park and attractions industry professionals from more than 60 countries are expected to take part in the event, with a trade show floor showcasing products and services from more than 400 companies across all sectors in the attractions realm.
