Christie showcases cinema solutions at Guangzhou Film Expo

GUANGZHOU, China – Christie^®, the leader in inspiring exceptional experiences, is pleased to announce its participation in the inaugural Guangzhou Film Expo, taking place at the Canton Fair Complex, September 27-29.

Organized by the Guangzhou Municipal People’s Government, the event provides an ideal platform to demonstrate Christie’s commitment to the development of the cinema industry in Southern China by showcasing the new CineLife+™ RBe projectors and advanced cinema solutions. Guangzhou is a thriving hub for film production, home to numerous film companies and a dynamic market. With continuously advancing production and post-production services, the city also benefits from abundant resources for film festivals and exhibitions, which further strengthens its position in China’s film industry.

At booth #5.2A2, Christie will showcase the Christie CineLife+™ CP2411-RBe projector featuring Phazer™ illumination technology. This DCI-compliant projector offers advanced features and electronics in a cost-effective platform, with 2K resolution and brightness of 11,000 lumens. Designed for small, high-gain screens up to 14 meters (47 feet), the CP2411-RBe projector provides exceptional value, boasting low maintenance and long-life performance.

Also on show is the Christie CineLife+ IMB-S4 integrated media block, a cost-effective, feature-rich media server for CineLife+ Series projectors. It securely converts and delivers DCI-compliant feature film content, with enhanced battery life, expanded storage, and 4K 96fps playback powered by ultra-fast CineLife+ processing. This all-in-one solution equips exhibitors to deliver an outstanding moviegoing experience.

In addition to the Christie booth, attendees can explore the CineLife+ RBe projectors comprising the CP2406-RBe, CP2409-RBe, and CP2411-RBe, showcased at our partners’ booths: ACE (booth #5.2A9), Light and Shadow Convergence Cinema Technology (booth #5.2A6), Freram (booth #5.2BZ4), and Langying Technology (booth #5.2BZ7).

Equipped with Christie’s new CineLife+2K™ electronics platform, the RBe projectors offer quick and easy setup with auto-configuration, a motorized lens mount, and integrated proprietary electronic color convergence (ECC) for precise lateral color alignment. They are also compatible with Mystique Cinema, ensuring perfect sub-pixel alignment for dual projection systems to create brilliant 2D and 3D presentations.
