MEXICO CITY, Mexico – Christie® is proud to announce the large-scale deployment of its 1DLP Inspire Series laser projectors in 100 Sam’s Club stores—owned by Walmart—in Mexico. This rollout supports the chain’s ongoing digital transformation efforts that are aimed at enhancing the shopping experience for its customers.
The installation is a key component of the DUBAI project (Digital Unit for Better Activation in Club), a plan to digitize the retailer’s advertising spaces through the implementation of various digital displays across its 100 locations in the country. These digital platforms include LED devices such as totems, screens, posters, as well as a network of displays and projectors.
The project’s design and development were entrusted to the agency FGL Asociados. “With these new in-store digital displays, brands can communicate their messages across multiple channels, boost sales, and add value to the customer’s shopping journey,” explains Francisco Gonzalez Legorreta from FGL Asociados.
FGL Asociados selected Christie DWU760A-iS laser projectors, which provide 7,175 lumens and WUXGA resolution in a low-maintenance package. One hundred DWU760A-iS projectors have been deployed in an equal number of Sam’s Club stores at various locations across Mexico.
Convergint Mexico integrated the projectors, following a rigorous selection process in which Christie’s laser models emerged as the client's preferred projection system.
In each of the 100 Sam’s Club stores in Mexico, the Christie Inspire projector has been mounted on the ceiling, projecting dynamic ads and visually engaging content onto the floor. This projection helps brands promote themselves by dynamically connecting with customers, and it can also be used to guide shoppers toward special offers or specific sections within the stores.
“The Christie Inspire projector was chosen for this project due to its impressive combination of high performance and low maintenance at a competitive price,” says Francisco Gonzalez Legorreta. “I would highlight its silent operation and omnidirectional installation capabilities, which make it easy to integrate into any setup, as well as its laser illumination, offering up to 20,000 hours of reliable performance,” he adds.
The Christie Inspire Series projectors are proving to be a key tool in this digital transformation project. “Its ability to project crisp, vibrant images from the ceiling to the floor uniquely captures customers’ attention. Additionally, its flexibility and durability ensure optimal performance in the dynamic retail environment. Not to mention its high brightness level, which is essential in a setting with significant ambient light like retail. These projectors ensure that ads and visual content remain clearly visible and eye-catching, even in well-lit areas,” he concludes.
Christie’s Inspire Series is a family of fixed-lens 1DLP laser projectors that offer users WUXGA or 4K UHD resolution, 24/7 operation, IP5X dust-resistant optical engines, and quiet operation. With brightness ranging from 7,150 to 9,600 lumens, the Inspire series provides up to 20,000 hours of reliable, virtually maintenance-free operation.
