Creating an immersive cinema experience
The HOYTS Theatre at The Star Gold Coast will once again serve as the centerpiece of AIMC’s screening program, featuring a custom multi-screen environment designed to highlight the latest advancements in cinema presentation. Developed in collaboration with HOYTS Cinema Technology Group (CTG), Original Syndicate, Dreamweavers, and The Star team, the installation is engineered to support the convention’s diverse lineup of screenings and presentations.
Powering the experience are Christie CineLife+™ Series RGB pure laser projectors, including two CP4435-RGB projectors on the 12-meter-wide center screen and two CP4425-RGB projectors on the 6.4-meter-wide side screens. Featuring CineLife+ electronics and RealLaser™ illumination, these DCI-compliant systems deliver bright, detailed imagery and accurate color reproduction.
Unlocking enhanced performance with VDR
Christie will present a session on its Variable Dynamic Range (VDR) technology on Tuesday, October 27, at 1:30 p.m. in the HOYTS Theatre. Presented by Dr. Don Shaw, the session will explore how VDR enhances image performance while improving projector efficiency and longevity for Christie CineLife+ cinema projectors equipped with RealLaser illumination.
Delegates will also experience a live VDR demonstration during the session, providing a firsthand look at how this patented technology helps exhibitors unlock greater performance from their existing CineLife+ Series RGB pure laser projection systems.
Showcasing the new CP4420m-RGBH
Additionally, Christie will showcase its new CP4420m-RGBH cinema projector featuring innovative hybrid RGBH illumination technology in Broadbeach meeting suites 1 and 2 throughout AIMC.
Making its AIMC debut following its launch in late 2025, the CP4420m-RGBH combines Christie's latest 0.98-inch 4K SST DMD with Phazer™ illumination technology to deliver bright, bold visuals for small-to-medium-sized screens. Delegates will have the opportunity to experience the benefits of RGBH illumination firsthand and see how it expands the possibilities for cinema exhibition.
