Christie debuts RGBH cinema projector at BIRTV 2026

BEIJING – Christie^® will showcase its latest advancements in cinema projection at the Beijing International Radio, TV and Film Exhibition (BIRTV), taking place August 19-22 at the China International Exhibition Center. At booth 2A250, visitors can discover a new generation of CineLife+™ Series projectors engineered to elevate presentation quality while helping exhibitors maximize efficiency and reduce operating costs.

As a longstanding supporter of China’s cinema industry, Christie will present solutions for every screen type, from boutique cinemas to premium large-format auditoriums. Headlining the showcase is the China debut of the Christie CP4420m-RGBH, a hybrid RGB pure laser and phosphor projector featuring CineLife+ electronics, a 0.98-inch 4K SST DMD, and Christie Phazer™ illumination technology. Designed for screens up to 19 meters (63 feet) wide, this compact, all-in-one projector combines bright, clear 4K images with DCI-P3 color, installation flexibility, long-term reliability, and a low total cost of ownership.

Attendees can experience a live demonstration of the CP4420m-RGBH paired with the Christie CineLife+ IMB-S4 integrated media block, enabling secure, DCI-compliant playback of feature film content in a streamlined environment. Equipped with 3.6TB of onboard SSD storage, the IMB-S4 supports native high-frame-rate playback of up to 4K at 96fps straight out of the box, providing exhibitors with a reliable and feature-rich content management and playback solution.

Also on display is the Christie CP4435-RGB pure laser cinema projector, which brings premium presentation capabilities to mainstream theatres. Powered by CineLife+ electronics and Real|Laser™ illumination technology, this 35,000-lumen projector delivers industry-leading lumen-to-watt efficiency, washable filters, and compatibility with hundreds of projector and lens combinations. Ideal for screens up to 27 meters (89 feet) wide, the CP4435-RGB offers exhibitors a compelling blend of visual excellence, operational sustainability, and long-term value.

Complementing the lineup is the Christie CP2411-RBe, a 2K-resolution, 11,000-lumen model built on the CineLife+2K™ electronics platform. Well suited for boothless installations and small-screen venues, it leverages Christie Phazer illumination technology to achieve 170% greater energy efficiency than comparable Xenon systems while delivering 9.4 lumens per watt. The resulting reduction in power consumption can lower total cost of ownership by as much as 59%, making it an attractive choice for boutique cinemas and independent exhibitors.
