Christie and Puluojie showcase projection solutions at Fantawild’s technology conference
Christie® recently partnered with Beijing Puluojie Technology at the 2026 Fantawild Theme Park Technology Conference to explore how advanced projection technologies are shaping the next generation of immersive theme park experiences. More than a technology showcase, the event served as a forum for open exchange. It brought together operators, designers, and technology partners to discuss how visual innovation can support richer storytelling and more engaging attractions.
Held from January 28–29, 2026, in Ningbo, Zhejiang Province, the conference—titled “Embracing Technology, Envisioning the Future”—was organized by Fantawild Holdings Inc., one of China’s leading themed entertainment groups. With 16 amusement parks operating nationwide, Fantawild continues to invest in new technologies that enhance immersion, operational reliability, and long-term value across its attractions.

Throughout the event, Christie and its long-standing partner Beijing Puluojie Technology demonstrated how advanced projection platforms, combined with thoughtful systems design and implementation, can meet the evolving demands of large-scale theme park environments. The Christie team led by Gene Wang, ProAV sales director for China, also engaged in in-depth discussions with Fantawild’s technical experts, exchanging insights on how digital projection continues to play a central role in dark rides, immersive theaters, architectural storytelling, and interactive experiences.
Collaboration as the foundation for innovation
At Christie, innovation is built on collaboration. Participating in the conference alongside Beijing Puluojie Technology underscored the importance of close partnerships in delivering complex, immersive experiences that must perform reliably day after day. As a key distributor in the ProAV market, Puluojie Technology brings deep industry knowledge, strong customer relationships, and proven systems integration expertise—capabilities that align closely with Christie’s approach to delivering complete visual solutions.
Together, Christie and Puluojie Technology illustrated how advanced projection technologies, supported by professional system design and local market understanding, can help theme park operators translate creative ambition into practical, scalable attractions.
“Fantawild has long been at the forefront of themed entertainment innovation in China, and we’ve had the privilege of working closely with its technical teams across multiple projects and exchanges,” said Li Wei, general manager of Puluojie Technology. “By combining our understanding of local creative and operational requirements with Christie’s advanced projection technologies, we can support attractions that are not only visually impressive, but also reliable and sustainable over the long term.”
Christie’s Gene Wang emphasized the industry’s broader shift toward integrated solutions. “Theme park operators today are looking beyond individual technologies to platforms that can deliver immersion, reliability, and long-term value,” he said. “By working closely with partners such as Beijing Puluojie Technology, we bring together advanced 3DLP and 1DLP laser projection systems with proven systems design expertise, helping operators like Fantawild elevate storytelling and enhance the guest experience.”
Projectors designed for immersive attractions

Christie demonstrated the Sapphire 4K40-RGBH in a live two-projector 3D setup, illustrating how it can be applied in attractions such as dark rides.
At the heart of Christie’s showcase were two 3D projectors designed specifically for demanding, large-scale immersive environments: the Sapphire 4K40-RGBH and Jazz Series 4K1600-JS laser projectors. Both models are engineered to deliver high performance and operational stability—critical factors for theme park attractions operating for long hours, every day.
Delivering up to 40,950 lumens, the Christie Sapphire 4K40-RGBH is the world’s first high-brightness hybrid RGB pure laser and laser phosphor projector . Its dual illumination source produces an expanded color spectrum, making it well suited for premium immersive applications where brightness, color fidelity, and visual impact are paramount. By combining RGB pure laser and laser phosphor illumination, this native 4K projector supports Infitec® color-comb 3D technology, precisely separating RGB wavelengths for each eye to deliver bright, crosstalk-free stereoscopic 3D imagery, making it ideal for next-generation dark rides.
At the conference, Christie demonstrated the Sapphire 4K40-RGBH in a live stereoscopic 3D setup using two projectors, illustrating how the platform can be deployed in theme park attractions such as dark rides and immersive theaters. The demonstration highlighted the system’s ability to deliver stable, high-brightness 3D visuals with consistent color performance, which are crucial for attractions designed to operate reliably over long periods.
Christie Jazz Series: flexibility for creative environments

The Jazz Series 4K1600-JS laser projector delivered vibrant and crisp images during the live demo.
Complementing the Sapphire 4K40-RGBH, the Jazz Series laser projectors offer a compact and versatile solution for indoor attractions and exhibition spaces. Available in WUXGA and 4K UHD+ resolutions, the Jazz Series delivers brightness levels ranging from 16,600 to 23,750 lumens—supporting applications from dome theater projection to complex projection mapping and interactive installations.
Built on Texas Instruments’ 0.8-inch HEP DMD, the Jazz Series delivers enhanced color performance and contrast. Selected models support the Christie Mystique™ automated alignment and recalibration solution, simplifying multi-projector setups through precise alignment, stacking, and projector blending. Weighing approximately 29.4kg (64.7lbs) and supporting omnidirectional installation, Jazz Series projectors are well suited for space-constrained environments. Compatibility with Christie Twist™ software and a wide range of lenses further expands creative possibilities.
Looking ahead: shaping future theme park experiences
